We decided to do this in-person class.
One of the most important skill as an “AI era” software engineer is to be able to understand how systems work together. Writing code is basically left for AI now.

Ever worked on a project from start to finish that might take a few weeks?
Let's say it's the production of a report for how many people are delayed from discharge from an NHS hospital.
Go with me on this one.
It could be that Day 1-2 are meetings/brain-storming the approach with the collection of data, the source, the process of transfer, security-aspects, then data-transformation - eventually leading to queries that feed an automated report that can be accessed by multiple parties.
Day 3-7 is the head-banging for the data side (as mentioned above).
Day 8-10 is the production, sign-off and release of the report.
Phew... 10 days.
Your job was to build the report - and you did that, but you were also involved from Day 1 because you as the end-producer had to influence or understand the why, the what, the where, and the how. They all played a part.
But all you did was build the report.
Actually, the report was the vital bit to make Days 1-7 worth it.
So your time was not just Day 8-10, it was Day 1-10.
And that should be compensated for appropriately - right?
The above is a fictitious example of how it's easy to commission a video, work, meetings that ultimately have a result at the end, and to forget the unseen effort.
When you're commissioning videos, take note of how involved someone is, how much time is involved, even if you only consider them important for parts of it, or you're basing the value on the video length.
That 20 mins video might be based on 3 hours production time, and that was after a day of investigating, and maybe some other meetings or back-and-forth email exchanges too.
That's how projects are.
It's not just the end result.
It's all of the parts that got it there.
I hope you live a life you’re proud of.
One where the late nights, the risks, the tough conversations, and the bold moves all add up to something that makes you look back and smile — not because it was perfect, but because it was yours.
A life built with intention, faith, and real effort.
And if you find that you’re not…
If the path feels heavy, the results slow, or the reflection in the mirror doesn’t match the vision in your heart — I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
@MTNMoMoGroup there’s a vendor opposite Starbites in Westlands, Accra- Ghana who says he doesn’t do deposits. Just transfers and withdrawals. Shut his business down. Thank you kindly
