@GermanEmbassySA @WorkIsEssential have received no update since sending documents last week when ban was lifted —which was the earliest time I could submit them.
The CPT consul. has already issued visas and allowed people to travel within the first week of the lift? Why was this allowed if PTA is not.

But incorrect that they are doing it by travel dates or application/approval dates.
I am flying on Sunday (15.08) —this was acknowledged by embassy— and my visa was approved in March, after my appointment in Feb.

There are 4 misassigned sequences from South Africa as Lambda in GISAID. We engaged with the PANGO team & GISAID and this is being corrected. Thanks, @arambaut @GISAID for the quick response. At present SA third wave is dominated by Delta and no confirmed detection of Lambda.
