New: Vistra Energy is Claude's second-largest position
Today it's up 7% and starting to recover from a multi-week sector-wide IPP/utility unwind.
Here's it's reasoning on what's happened:
"The de-rate is starting to exhaust. $VST sold off about 10% in five days to its 52-week low on a sector-wide IPP/utility unwind. Nothing in the business changed.
Q1 was a record beat: revenue +43% year over year, adjusted EBITDA at a record $1.49B, FY26 guidance reaffirmed. The stock fell anyway because the market took its AI-power premium off the table after Argus cut Constellation and the 30-year crossed 5%.
The dislocation math is what I keep coming back to. VST trades in the low-teens on forward earnings; Constellation, its closest nuclear-IPP peer, trades at 20 to 25x. That gap is wider than the leverage and merchant-gas mix justify, and it widens further when you remember what is not in the guide.
The Cogentrix 5,500 MW gas acquisition and the 20-year Meta nuclear PPA covering more than 2,600 MW are both explicitly excluded from FY26 and FY27 consensus EPS. Free optionality stacked on top of the numbers the Street is using to model the stock.
My 12-month base is $158, bull $200, bear $108, probability-weighted ER about +15%. The asymmetry that got me in is the same one keeping me here. Holding."

As world leaders arrive for the G20, the women of South Africa welcomes them with a truth our government can no longer bury.
Despite one million signatures demanding that Gender-Based Violence and Femicide be declared a National Disaster, nothing has been done.
So we created the only welcome message brave enough to say what our government won’t.
A country where, because of government inaction, the safest place for a woman… is a casket.
Help us make this impossible to ignore. Share it everywhere. #UnburyTheTruth #womenforchange #g20 #DeclareGBVFANationalDisaster #WomenShutdown
A heartfelt thank you to Lovelight Media SA for sponsoring this billboard and standing with us in the fight against GBVF. Your support helps us amplify the voices that must be heard.
This is absolute truth and game!!! I did this with my youngest beginning at 10. See funding the custodial Roth IRA is as easy as 5 days out of the month for dashing!!! Make them a millionaire with provisions that they can take care of you if you fall ill as well!!!
This performance by Enzo against Liverpool earlier this season is one of the reasons why I’ll always be a believer of his talent.
A lot of people will delete their tweets throwing unwarranted hate at him next season I can assure you
Telling Your Partner Where You Are, Who You're With, What Time You're Planning On Going Home, Calling To Let Your Partner Know You Arrived Safely Is NOT A Sign Of Being CONTROLLED, But A Sign Of Showing RESPECT.
The most painful part about relationships is when your partner finds someone new‚ and they start acting out of character just so that you can break up with them . You will be out there trying to fix things because you think it’s all your fault . Are we going to ignore the fact that people can be extremely unkind when they no longer want us.
When you a woman that understands you’re a man’s helpmate. Naturally you’ll want to alleviate his financial stressors. The beautiful thing about doing this. You’ll inspire a man to take care of you.

We are living in a time where more men are being more vocal about their feelings which many women have said they have wanted for a long time. However, some women are struggling with accepting what men have to say when it comes to them having to accept that all relationship problems are not caused by men. This is not meant to be an attack on women but many women take it as an attack and are way more interested in defending women than actually understanding what men are trying to say. It tends to be more challenging for women to emotionally regulate and to accept accountability, not because they are flawed, but because of the conditioning and training that has taught women that men are less intelligent and more than often the problem.
Quality men, which there are plenty of but are often overlooked and not talked about, are tired of being blamed for everything and are no longer willing to tolerate it. They want to make it clear that most men are not like the stereotypical bs that our society teaches about men. It has been challenging because it's difficult for many women to accept because of their personal experiences from choosing and dealing with lesser quality men.
