I know for a fact he’s not being performative… We hung in a group recently, discussions got to politics, I was pulling all my pessimist theories to throw him off but he never stuttered for once.

It was a breath of fresh air hearing his optimism and determination in a country set to frustrate and discourage you. It’s not everyday I challenge optimistic people with my arguably observable pessimistic views and they don’t pause.
