@Kelocitta@Terraxmas Is this what this is about lol? Him disproving that Lacenet can ever happen (a thing that was already disproven by both Hornet and Lace) is not a bad thing.
@Kelocitta Genuinely one of the better written characters of Silksong lol. I love the subtetly of his dialogue and how he tries to sneakily gauge if Hornet is worthy of his trust.
@Wan23B@Red_Krabo Are we calling peak anything these days? This is the Big Mac of art. Mass produced, everybody does it with no love put to it. They don't try to understand the characters and work around their particularities. Say what you want, that is not Hornet. This is not Lace.
@RThedeer27918@paperboatprince@palmekla@Machine_I_am_me He is wrong though. What sense does it even make for Hornet to continuously and repeatedly call Lace a child till the end of the game? She even admits she doesn't use it as insult nor as form of leniage (as in child of Silk). The game kinda breaks narratively otherwise
@Al__Samil Two entirely different characters. The entire point of Shakra's arc is to showcase just how different their mentality is in this regard. Hornet calls Lace a child because she is a child. A thing that is proven by three other sources and is never denied in any serious matter
@MatologMeatball I swear people are so quick to use "media illiteracy" without checking their own sources first.
I didn't even bring up that the actual UI of the game calls Lace "Silk-spun" child. This is a BASIC aspect of her character, the same way the knight was still a vessel, while not hollow
@MatologMeatball Throughout the entire narrative Hornet calls, from beggining to end, Lace a child. What sense would it make for her to also infantelized Lace??? We also know it isn't used as insult (cause of the Abyss talk) and neither to imply lenaige (from the Seamstress).
@Namek__Saga@speakofthejevil@timmy_longlegs And the weird thing is that this wasn't the case before. Even bad ships like GhostXHornet haven't been this unapologetically toxic. Those got TONS of hate. But they understood that what they liked might've not been everyone's cup of tea and they let it be.
@Namek__Saga@speakofthejevil@timmy_longlegs Shipping has been a net negative on this community as of late. Just look how some try to find excuses for this. "Oops, you've been slightly annoying, time to employ the slurs and other horrible things!"
@speakofthejevil@timmy_longlegs Man... Lacenet just sucks. Threatening someone with death cause of this.... We used to be better. Major Undertale 2016 vibes
