Our last phase of the trip and maybe one of the best! Siem Reap has brought us a lovely hotel with pool and pool table, an amazing day of seeing Angkor Wat and the temples, the Phare Circus, the night markets and tuk tuks! A fantastic way to end our 3 week expedition 🇻🇳🇰🇭
We have loved our time in the Battambang community building the foundations for the wall. New friendships and experiences, plus coconuts to celebrate and some gorgeous gifts from our hosts. A fantastic experience for all of us 😊
Our students have been working hard building a wall for a school in Battambang this week- they are putting the hours in and we are proud of the work they are doing! 💪 The local (air conditioned) coffee shop has certainly seen an uptick in sales too…. 🥵😅
A sobering day learning about the history of the Khmer Rouge and the genocide. The students were really respectful and dealt with it all well. Our guide Channak shared his own personal experiences and loses, which was hard to hear but very moving.
A wonderful day of sightseeing for the team- the Independence Monument, the Statue of the late King Father, the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda and the temple Wat Phnom Baun Penh. We even nipped back to the monuments in the evening to capture them at their finest ✨
Such an amazing day visiting the Mekong Delta. Visiting a 1938 beautiful house, learning how to make rice paper and rice wine, a row down the river on row boats 🛶 Students then cooked their own pancakes and made rice paper spring rolls with elephant ear fish!
