On another note. Every time a black man dies by the hands of a white man the Hebrew Israelites look to push their agenda. Black Children of God do not listen to them! The white man is not the devil and Christianity is not the white man religion.
Thank you @RaviZacharias for inspiring a young black boy from the south side of Chicago. I’ll cherish that long talk I had with you in your office and the lunch we had afterwards for the rest of my life. My children will know who Ravi Zaharias was. ❤️
At a point in his ministry, Jesus’ own brothers did not believe in him (John 7:5). Imagine if his validation came from family? If God calls you then it does not matter who disbelieves - even those closest to you - because He validates the call.
@mrkenallen@JohnPiper The fear you talk about is terror, which you have rightly given a definition for. The fear the Bible talks about here in the quoted scripture is reverence/deep respect or regard.
Quite often we worry and stress about our problems more than we pray about them. Prayer is calming and helps shift our focus from our problems to the one that has the solution.
