Nobody talks about how dangerous being broke can be.
You start accepting disrespect because you need help.
You start staying in places that drain you because you can’t afford peace.
You start forcing smiles while silently fighting depression.
One thing this Nigeria will teach you fast:
Some people are not rude… they’re just tired.
Tired of bills.
Tired of pretending they’re okay.
Tired of “it will get better.”
Tired of working so hard and still restarting every month like a video game. 💔

One painful thing about adulthood be say… nobody really prepares you for how expensive survival is.
You fit graduate with big dreams, sharp brain, and plenty motivation, but one small calculation go humble you instantly. Salary enters today,
good morning sir” with fake energy, only to still end the month broke.
And despite all these, they still show up every morning with hope.
Still helping family.
Still posting happy pictures.
Still encouraging friends.
Still believing one day things go better.
The saddest part?
Many people are still grateful for that same 100k job because unemployment don too much. Some graduates don submit CV tire, yet nothing. So people just accept anything to survive, not because it’s enough, but because the system leave them with no choice. 💔
E pay you to dey jobless pass make you dey do 9-5 of 100k for this current Nigeria.
2k transport daily × 5 days = 10k weekly
10k × 4 weeks = 40k/month
3k feeding daily × 30 days = 90k
5k data weekly × 4 = 20k/month
Everything don already pass 150k, and we never even talk about rent, groceries, electricity, family responsibilities, or emergencies.
Except you get side hustle, still dey with your parents, or somebody dey support you, surviving on 100k salary for Nigeria now na real struggle.
