On January 7, 2026, Kiarra Jones, 30, pleaded guilty in Arapahoe County to 12 criminal charges for abusing three nonverbal autistic children while working as a school bus aide for Littleton Public Schools.

The abuse occurred aboard a special-education bus transporting students to the Joshua School….children with severe developmental disabilities who were fully dependent on adult supervision. Surveillance footage reviewed by school officials and police led to her termination and prosecution in Colorado’s 18th Judicial District Court.

These were nonverbal children. They could not call for help. They could not explain what was happening. They were placed in her care….and betrayed.
