LAWA | OIL LANTERN
This used to light our homes in olden days. Any oil, popularly mustard and shimba (oil produced from a tree) are used to fill the lawa (เฝฃเผเฝเฝ) and like a butter lamp, it is lit at one end. I saw this at the Charo and Dhoro restaurant in Nyemjo, Paro.
