Lots of controversy about the last question in the #GCSE maths exam today. Here’s a worked answer. It is very difficult. Don’t worry if you didn’t get it!
GCSE and A-level results are set to return to normal pre-pandemic levels this year. No advance information but there will be formulae sheets in GCSE maths and science. https://t.co/CIC44xKNmT
In London, 32.6% of GCSE grades were marked at grades 7/A and above but in north-east England and in Yorkshire and the Humber, just 22.4% got top grades. Lots of reasons but private tuition rates are much higher in the south.
A level results day. Every student deserves huge credit for getting through the last few years and the terrible disruptions covid has brought. To you and your parents, please remember your results will never define who you really are or your true worth.
@AlecShelbrooke No surprise that the National Tuition Programme is failing. Inevitable when the government knocked back establish tuition companies and qualified teachers in favour of those with zero experience who lobbied better. @halfon4harlowMP
@halfon4harlowMP @FT@CommonsEd You excluded established tuition providers in favour of your friends with good lobbying skills. We are very busy providing a quality private service. You chose to endow too many inexpert providers who are failing.
Guidance is now out for external exams this summer. We will be tutoring our students in line with the guidance. Parents- ask if you are confused!

@DavidDavisMP We are part of the largest tuition company, using only qualified teachers, in the U.K. Online and in centre.NTP went non specialists better at Westminster lobbying.
@halfon4harlowMP We have had children, never had Covid, who have isolated 7 times. @GavinWilliamson -the devastation to learning is awful. Present year 10s and 12s desperately in need of clarity too.
