We discussed future cooperation, including urban mobility, climate resilience, Lake Victoria Ring Road, support for expedited adoption of PPP projects and support for currently unfunded road sections serving the LAPSSET corridor, which falls between Isiolo and Lokichar. We also agreed on follow-up interactions at which the latest innovative resource mobilization approaches developed by the Bank can be shared with Government officers.

I look forward to Kenya participating actively in the AfDB’s new initiative on sustainable road maintenance, which is at the pilot stage and also look forward to the AfDB Annual Meeting, which is set to take place in Nairobi later in the year.

Present at the session were the Principal Secretary for Transport, Mohamed Daghar and other senior officers of the Ministry.
