Spent about 5 hours playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard today and really enjoyed it so far. It's probably not the best game of the year but damn fun game regardless. Minor issues here and there but most of the game is surprisingly solid and stable.

Wither Chronicles Vol. 2 goes LIVE on HALLOWEEN!

@herrmansen I would actually rather not use portraits at all and resort on describing the characters than using AI generated portrait that doesn't fit on what I'm thinking. I'm actually very specific on how the NPCs look and AI just never get even close to that image...

[Kipi "Not a Mimic" @Kipi_GD]

What the actual F?! How detached from real world these corporate people can be?

Side note, I have never, NEVER, used AI to generate campaigns, characters or story ideas. I have run 6 (I think) campaigns by now, only one was not based on world I have created.

[Kipi "Not a Mimic" @Kipi_GD]

@herrmansen I actually have tried to use AI for same purpose (character portraits for random NPCs) but I actually never used any of the portraits generated since those almost always didn't feel like what I was looking for.

@SusanArendt I had weekly subscription to Donald Duck comics until few years ago and before that it came with to my brother. We literally have every since Donald Duck weekly magazine (52-53 comics per year) since 1980...
And I'm not ashamed to admit that I still occasionally read those...

My biggest gripe with the ttrpg community here is that we treat our issues as if they should be front page of CNN level issues.

I think we are so far up our own hole in hobby energy that we forget that no someone buying a Wotc book is not the equivariant of a war crime.

I don't know much about football, only occasionally watch it, but I will be highly disappointed if referee doesn't give at least 10 minutes of extra time on second half of BRA - ESP semi-final due the sheer amount of "injuries" BRA players have had in second half.

@alyssavisscher I have only watched few videos of the specific new or changed rules which are in the 2024 PHB and I immediately thought that some things may actually require reading through other parts of changed rules to make more sense. So you can't just criticize something out of context.

[Kipi "Not a Mimic" @Kipi_GD]

@SusanArendt Nah, I think it's more accurate to say "the day first episode was written"...

[Kipi "Not a Mimic" @Kipi_GD]

Which is not actually that bad thing because I don't really have that much time for gaming and at least now I have an excuse to play through some of the old classics like Baldur's Gate 1 and 2

[Kipi "Not a Mimic" @Kipi_GD]

It actually feels quite weird (and nostalgic) to be stuck with old classics when it comes to gaming for next month or so. In the middle of moving to new apartment so I'm backing up my consoles early next week and my old gaming laptop broke down.

[Kipi "Not a Mimic" @Kipi_GD]

I did buy new laptop today but since I'm planning on getting proper gaming PC after I have moved, there is no sense on buying a powerful laptop at this point. So, at the moment, I'm pretty much stuck with games that are playable on integrated GPU...

Damn, never thought that Japan would have any chances against France in basketball but here we are, overtime coming up.
