@AscendantZoro@fw_ddda Most of the designs are blatant ripoffs. Denying it won't change the obvious. And I quite like survival crafting games, Palworld is just a bad one
@yScTITWDkw89130@altoviola0912 Pokemon and Dragon Quest both pull inspiration from a lot of Japanese mythology (a lot of them are Yokai) but visually there are zero similarities. Unlike Palworld whose creatures have models and rigging straight up copied and pasted from Pokemon games
@Tioryi_XX03 No, the problem is that it looks like Pokemon because they ripped off Pokemon models to make theirs. Nobody would be saying it looked like Pokemon if the devs didn't plagiarize straight from Pokemon
"But the gameplay is different" doesn't matter, it looks like Temu Pokemon
@Dragonlily200@diamonatrixx I hate Bruxish too but as a kid I really liked Luvdisc so my rollercoaster of emotions was much worse thinking Luvdisc finally got an evolution then realizing they were completely separate.
@Shin1lower_2 Not saying I love the fights The Pokemon Company decided to pick, but the lawsuits have exclusively gone in TPC's favor. There's a reason they went for things like catching mechanic patents, and it's because they knew they could win
@fw_ddda The facts are that the designs are ripoffs of Pokemon models, the exploration is empty and meaningless, and the main gameplay loop is a grindfest
@KookieKooker I'd be all over them if they were turn based. There's nothing worse than the trend toward ARPGs, especially in previously turn based franchises
@HlNOMARUSUMO People who own Switch 2s are thriving right now. The issue is that people who don't really are at a historic low when it comes to fun whimsical designs in games. The hyper realistic slop train is so exhausting to watch
@EX10x The problem is that like your friend, that was my initial reaction but after more than a few hours I realized how shallow and poorly implemented the aspects of Palworld that I was most excited about were
@ChappyQuack@thesitarplayer@KryZenDesigner Game Freak has released multiple well received Pokemon games since the ultra-forgettable Palworld hit EA. Unless they've retooled the entire game, Palworld 1.0 is about to hit about as hard as Splash
@no_dupes Not having played and beaten ZA at this point is just a failing on your part. I don't even plan to use Floette but I still have it in Champions because I figured "well of course I have it so I might as well send it over just in case"
@vitalyavolyn For me it's the layout. Bulbapedia is great as a compendium and it needs to exist, but it's not particularly useful as a day-to-day place to go for info because it's too crowded. Serebii just shows you what you want to know without a bunch of clutter
@Zhane_Star The Paradox Pokemon aren't real ancient or future versions of the Pokemon we know, though. The game all but confirms that they're in-universe "What if?" scenarios brought to life by the imagination of humans
