This is mass medical deregulation - the @gmcuk literally saying PAs can do whatever they want if their local employer says they can. An NHS scandal.

The “NHS GP shortage” is deliberate & entirely manufactured

I will never understand how a c section is not treated in the same manner as any other major abdominal surgery.

I am dedicated to improving the workplace for the surgeon who operates on our loved ones—ensuring that both current and future generations of surgeons are supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Today, I am deeply honored to have been nominated to the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Throughout my career, I’ve fought for better surgical training and working conditions, and now, I look forward to the opportunity to represent surgeons from all backgrounds. As a father of four, I know what it means to balance a demanding career with family life, and I will bring that perspective to this role.

The central tenant of an operation or a whole surgical system should be safe surgery. Surgery is a risky process and dying after it is a disaster for everyone. In an ideal world, the death rate within 30 days of an operation would be zero. Work to do.
