My latest on the the weirdness that was Imperial Germany with @SODRock88!
This was very fun to write. Wilhelmine Germany is a fascinating case about which there are many persistent myths.
I hope you’ll check it out, and let me know what you think!

@HarksenNiels The other problem of course is that not only is Paris the logistical hub (making it a prime spot for launching counterattacks) but it’s heavily fortified, which an exhausted force is not going to be able to take.

@HarksenNiels This is the big problem with it and why the Younger Moltke reduced the scope of the wheel. Schlieffen seems to have just hand-waved it by insisting the officers and men would just have to make superhuman efforts for the sake of victory.
@jdabre11 Cutting off zeroes doesn’t change the value if it’s for everyone. Money’s just how you count. Whether something is a dollar or a hundred dollars is arbitrary. It’s the actual value that’s relevant.
@RedBoulderPunch Liam Neeson looks and acts like a stoic monk, and Qui-Gon is revered by Obi-Wan, who we know is a paragon of the Jedi Order, which gives us no reason to interpret his behavior as renegade-like. It would have been very simple to make Obi-Wan more dogmatic than Qui-Gon.
