While we should rotate passwords, we must also “assume breach.” This posture requires a complete cyber resilience strategy to understand the risk of cyber breaches and be able to recover from the inevitable breach.

Breakthrough technologies such as AI aren't linear; they are super-linear phenomena. You don’t take advantage of them by following the crowd. You have to take a bet before they become mainstream.

Here is the framework for business success I shared with our team at SKO this week:

No one knows anything. The future is unwritten. If it were a known quantity, there would be no reward. Stop looking for a blueprint and start thinking for yourself.

Play the non-consensus game. Consensus ideas are crowded and diluted. Real impact is made when you bet on the unlikely idea that the market doesn't believe in yet - and you are right.

Suspend linear beliefs. We experience life day-to-day, but phenomena move exponentially. To understand the implications for you and your business, you have to suspend your belief and look at things as they are.

The Takeaway: You are only limited by your imagination. When everyone else runs in one direction, find your own way. If you take the non-consensus bet and believe in your ability to execute, your success is unlimited.

MEET YOUR CUSTOMERS IN PERSON

Imagine you’ve built what you think is the best dog food machine in the world.

You expect dogs everywhere will love it - but you won’t know until you see if they actually eat the food.

However, your customers CAN tell you what they want.

But they don’t always know what solution they need - they just know they have a problem.

So your job is to present your point of view to them, observe their reaction, and listen closely. Does it work? Are there any pain points?

That’s why I travel to meet customers in person - so I can see, in real time, whether our solution actually helps.

If you don’t take time to understand their business and context, all you have is a hypothesis.

To move from hypothesis to solution, don’t assume - show and listen.

Once they’ve seen what you’ve built, you’ll know if it works.
