2. You're using a mod that replaces the locres file, but it's based on a previous version of the game: find that mod and either update it or disable it.

@NovusTermina Shadow Mario doesn't seem to exhibit Goo-like traits though iirc, and the invention of Goo didn't happen until much later.
Still, it's wild to think of E. Gadd inventing something that could turn you into a Goo-like shapeshifter and then sending it back into time.

@NovusTermina Fun fact: The reason Gooigi exists in Luigi's Mansion 3DS is because, after E. Gadd created him sometime between Dark Moon and LM3, E. Gadd sent him back into time to the events of the first game to test him and collect data.
