Uganda is planning to develop a Light Rail Urban Mass Transit System (LRT) to serve the GKMA population of Kampala, Wakiso, Mpigi and Mukono.

The LRT will be of electric traction for better operational efficiency, lower operating & maintenance cost, and no emissions (compared to diesel traction).
Just like the way it is done in china , Canada and UK , it will be done here 😊
