We live in the most prosperous place on earth. We are blessed beyond our wildest dreams. Never has there been a better opportunity to strive for genuine progress and hope.

We should reject wokeness and identity politics utterly.

There are rich black and brown people and poor white people. These are plain facts. Poverty doesn’t discriminate down identity lines. It discriminates down economic ones.

To pretend that people of colour, or those of different sexual orientations are in some way oppressed and only saviour liberals are able to rescue them is patronising, arrogant and untrue.

I am stoped often on the street by non white people who say thanks for not speaking about us like we somehow need your help.

Like Martin Luther King said, We must be colourblind. See the human being beneath the incidental and immutable characteristics of melanin or sexual orientation. Things none of us can change.

Let’s focus on those who struggle to put food on the table and feed their families. Economic situation we can do something about. Skin colour and sexual orientation, we can’t.

We should focus on what we can do to empower people to succeed and feel fulfilled in life. Virtue signalling about things we can’t change may make you feel better, but it also makes you part of the problem.

The future is bright. We just have to chose to live it.
