@ecwestcott Couldn’t agree more Emma. Today we are supposed to get excited about a tax cut equating to a few pennies, whilst public services are cut to the bone and arts and culture are seen as trivial or irrelevant.

Too many people know the cost of everything but the value of nothing.

@ProfTimBale It is courteous to ask but I wouldn’t deny someone a reference if they didn’t ask me first. Some people may not realise that asking a referee first is common practice, depending on their previous experience
