@ClownfihPlushie Whenever I make these fish, I try to not have their base shape off of what sea animal they're meant to represent. It's to prevent me from being too lazy and also push creativity to what I can do with each fish.

I see where you're coming from, though I will continue my method.

メッサーシュミット Bf 109 E-4（通称「Rote 12 / RED12」）。

この機体（製造番号: Werknummer 1983、登録記号: D-FEML）は、ダイムラー・ベンツ製のオリジナルエンジン「DB 601N」を搭載して飛行できる、ヨーロッパで非常に貴重な唯一の機体として知られています。

1939年に製造され、第5戦闘航空団（5./JG 5）に所属して東部戦線で運用されました。1942年1月にソ連軍のハリケーン戦闘機との交戦によりムルマンスク近郊に不時着し、その後51年間放置さ��ていましたが、1993年に残骸が回収され、飛行可能な状態へと見事に修復されました。

機首下面の見事なイエロー塗装と、胴体に描かれた「赤の12（12+）」のマーキングが特徴的です。

機首や翼端などに��されたイエロー（黄色）の塗装には、戦闘中における「味方識別（識別帯）」の非常に重要な意味がありました。

空中戦の激しい混乱の中では、一瞬の判断の遅れが命取りになります。また、地上からの対空砲火（高射砲）も、自軍の飛行機なのか敵軍の飛行機なのかを素早く見分ける必要がありました。

視認性の高いイエローを機首や尾翼、翼端に塗ることで、遠くからでも「あれはドイツ軍の機体だ」と一目で判別できるようにしていました。

この黄色い識別塗装が本格的に採用され始めたのは、1940年夏にイギリス上空で繰り広げられた激しい航空戦「バトル・オブ・ブリテン」の時期です。

ドイツ空軍の「Bf 109」と、イギリス空軍の「スピットファイア」や「ハリケーン」は、遠くからのシルエット���似ていたため、お互いに味方を誤射してしまうリスクが極めて高かったのです。

そのため、ドイツ軍は前線の戦闘機にこの目立つ黄色を塗るよう義務付けました。

Shuttleworth Festival of Flightなどの航空ショーに登場し、多くの航空ファンを魅了しています。
