Fast forward, as the campaigns come to an end, the green carrier bags are significant for the DCP candidate.

Politics runs deep in the blood of Emurua Dikirr constituents. Good for democracy and governance.

The Emurua Dikirr by-election campaigns have been the most interesting one. Songs have been the essential campaign tools. The women are at the frontline, and campaigns happen deep in the night after work. They call it “Preps”.

The UDA party did its nominations, and a majority of the constituents feel that their preferred candidate, Arap Buluu, was rigged out and a pro-government candidate (Dollarline) installed.

It seems that the said majority constituents have distanced themselves from Dollarline (UDA candidate) and are now supporting the DCP candidate (Vincent). Most of the songs, such as the one here, display discontentment with the ruling party, UDA.

Both parties stand a chance given the history of Emurua Dikirr. The late Johana Ngeno Ngong was always in opposition until 2022 when he joined the government and got elected in UDA.
