SPLIT EARNINGS FOR CREATORS
I tweeted about this a few years ago, but I can't find it.
I'm re-ask: @FNCreate Can you create a system that splits the payment among creators on the project based on a % (chosen one time, which can't be changed) chosen by the project admin?
Weโve added a new Fortnite Developer Rule to address spam islands in Fortnite:
1.9.1 - โNo one likes spam. Do not publish multiple copies of the same island or metadata in an attempt to manipulate search ranking, engagement, or visibility from the same account, alternate accounts or teammate accounts.โ
Starting March 11, developers breaking this rule will face escalating penalties, including impacts to monetization, island removal, and account suspension.
Weโll also be rolling out new automated tooling in the coming weeks to prevent spam islands from being published.

UEFN DISCOVERY FEEDBACK @FNCreate
I know most creators have very strong opinions on the discovery system, but I truly believe my opinions that follow provide crucial solutions to the discovery system. I have built platforms on YouTube x2/IG/TikTok/Twitch and now Fortnite Creative, so I'm no stranger to dissecting algorithms.
I believe the biggest potential within the discovery system is the For You tab, and the biggest flaw are the hard set discovery tabs. When I say hard set tabs, I mean tabs like Top Rated, Most Engaging, etc that show the same games to all players loading up Fortnite. The only hard set tabs that should exist on the home page are Epic Games and Epic Picks, stuff that you guys want to show to everyone manually. Beyond those 2 tabs, the rest of discover should be a more personalized For You style experience for a few important reasons.
Having hard set tabs sets a HUGE limit on the number of maps that can succeed. If YouTube prioritized hard set tabs, there would be very minimal videos that are getting views, and the platform would die. Instead, the entirety of the YouTube home page is personalized to the viewer, filled with a variety of similar videos to what they've recently watched, videos from people they follow, new videos that are being tested in discover, and some variety sprinkled in because maybe they are in the mood for something new. This leads to hundreds of thousands of videos succeeding. This is how discover NEEDS to be.
In Fortnite, maps right now hit New and Updated, then most fall off into the dust immediately if they don't hit one of those hard set tabs. New and Updated will never be able to work to the level that it needs to mainly because the hard set tabs do not have enough available slots to support the whole ecosystem.
The For You page should be extended to cover the entirety of the home page of Fortnite (with the exception of epic's games and epic's picks). There should be a refresh button if the player doesn't like their current options in that For You page. Those hard set tabs should still exist, but they should not be the priority. They should be hidden off to the side in the collection tabs for players that want to find the top maps within a genre. YouTube works similar. They have a full personalized For You page, but at the top you can select key words like Gaming, Music, or more specific stuff like Fortnite, to view stuff within those categories. And of course search exists as well.
Maps should still be ranked based on how they are performing. They should be ranked on CTR, engagement, retention, how they perform in search, etc. You guys know this, but the important solution provided above is you can keep more maps alive with this type of system. Maps that rank 1000th compared to other maps based on analytics will simply get less impressions in the For You page, but they will still get impressions rather than being forgotten for life. The For You page will be shown to millions of people an hour, so it will be refreshed so often that even maps that are ranked 1000th or even #10,000th can be shown to a sustainable amount people to give the map players. With the current system of hard set tabs, they will never be seen.
Tutto fatto in Verse.
We are taking legal action against two UEFN developers who used bots to inflate their player counts. We also took down their islands and they are banned from Fortnite. Manipulating player engagement breaks our rules and will not be tolerated.
