@justseels @EricJorgenson @_andreasborg One simple way of assessing our progress is to see what fraction of the phenomenon we already encounter in the known universe are we able to explain neatly? ie the robustness of our current science - ability to hold good with continued exploration with very minimal anomalies.

But we don’t know what the denominator is, so there’s no way to gauge the fraction or how significant a fraction it’ll turn out to be. All this assuming the denominator is finite, else the question itself is moot.
