The graduation ceremony at Kariokor Community Hall marked a significant milestone in the KISIP–NYOTA collaboration, celebrating hundreds of young people who successfully completed the Socio-Emotional Skills Training (SEST) Programme.
Through the training, beneficiaries gained valuable skills in employability, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, leadership, communication, teamwork, and personal development, equipping them to navigate opportunities and challenges in today's dynamic economic environment.
The programme demonstrates the power of investing in both communities and people.
While KISIP continues to improve infrastructure and living conditions in informal settlements, NYOTA is expanding pathways to employment and economic inclusion through skills development.
Complemented by the Digital Public Works initiative, which provided practical digital skills and work experience, the programme is helping young people build resilience, create sustainable livelihoods, and contribute meaningfully to community development and Kenya's growth.
