CMac, thank you for 11 seasons of hard work and dedication to our organization and for helping bring another Stanley Cup to Colorado.
We wish you all the best!
Jack Drury had a big time Round 2 for the Avs. His 5v5 numbers for the series:
•3 primary points in 5 games
•Avs were up 5-2 in his minutes
•Avs had 63.6% shot share and 62.4% xG share with him on ice via NST
•12 scoring chance contributions
•Won 32 of 45 faceoffs he took
There were a lot of standouts that series for the #GoAvsGo. Burns, Lehkonen, Roy all were great…but…
To me, that was very much a “Cale Makar is the best defenseman in the world” series. And it wasn’t just the highlight-reel goals.
#GoAvsGo practice lines today…
Lehkonen - MacKinnon - Necas
Kelly - Nelson - Nichushkin
Landeskog - Kadri - Roy
Colton - Drury - O’Connor - Kiviranta - Bardakov all in green.
Top 6 Kelly is a go.
The Avs are the clear favourites to win the Cup, and they will, barring injuries of course. The gap between them and the rest of the league is significant. I’m not worried about the history of Presidents’ Trophy teams falling short—they will be the rare group that pulls it off.
