@ERodforCongress@TheRickWilson He doesn’t have a big lead over @pegueroformiami. And Robin is the most qualified person running for this seat by far. Polls also show Robin Peguero doing just as well against Maria Salazar. So let’s knock off the inevitability bit.
Be like Eagles Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Don Henley. Robin Peguero is the “Boy of the Summer” whose got the experience and energy to flip this seat blue. Join the movement. 😎🥁🎸

In front of a mural of José Martí at the Hialeah library I frequented as a kid, Reuters asked me about my message to voters. Simple: Vote for balance, vote for divided government again to get back to the basics (grow this economy, keep resources on the border and on deporting violent criminals) and not the extremes. Many of us fled from countries with one-party rule. We need a change.

The job is simple. Talk to folks. Listen. Be honest about how you’re going to make their lives better. How you’re going to put more money in their pockets. How you’re going to defend their rights and the rule of law.

El trabajo es sencillo. Habla con la gente. Escucha. Ser honesto sobre cómo vas a mejorar sus vidas. Cómo vas a poner más dinero en sus bolsillos. Cómo vas a defender sus derechos y el estate de derecho.
No Kings protest today in Tropical Park. Lots of photos and videos incoming.
But first, some supporters pop up with signs behind me as I defend our community on CBS. Power to the people.
I won’t let anyone define me first. Or try to label me before I even introduce myself. I am a democratic capitalist. Market solutions, like a public option in the health care market to increase competition and give consumers more choice, are the way to go. People in this country — from people working two jobs to families that consider themselves comfortable or even wealthy — pay too much in taxes when billionaires with a ‘b’ and corporations often pay none. Zero. You deserve to keep the fruits of your labor. But fair is fair.

BOLD PAC, the political arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, is sticking by its endorsed candidate in #FL27, Robin Peguero.

Miami deserves a leader who is battle tested and has fought for our families, freedom, and safety. Not someone jumping in from the sidelines, having remained neutral when our livelihoods and democracy were on the line. As a prosecutor, I spent my career locking up violent criminals who threatened Miami’s families. As a congressional investigator, I exposed those who betrayed democracy and the nation. That whole time, it’s always been clear where I stood. Because I was in the fight.
This country is at a crossroads, and the people are yearning for a new generation of leadership with the grit and stamina to never back down from what’s right. Maria Elvira Salazar – a former TV journalist with zero experience in public service or the issues – let us down. The answer is not more of the same.
For the past eight months, our campaign has been doing the work – and it shows. We’ve built an unmatched coalition of support across Miami, earning nearly two dozen major endorsements including the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Latino Victory Fund, the Congressional Black Caucus, the last Democrat to win this seat, Congresswoman Shalala, and current Florida Congresswoman Lois Frankel. We’ve raised well over $700,000 and now have more than 6,000 individual donors, more than any other candidate.
But I’ve been doing the work for longer than these eight months. Ever since I started in public service twenty years ago.
For anyone entering the arena for the first time, I say, welcome to the fight. I will continue doing what I’ve always done.
