@OrufreyBrainrot Tartah's got this bitter surrliness that really varies him to the others in the cast. At every point he is keen eyed and sharp noticing and observing things other simply don't because he's underestimated. And his sense of justice is fierce and fire forged.
@cosmicxexo And he was probably discarded because the sw for some reason didnt replace the eye. The value of a sw "grafting" versus a proper rooting is still to be seen. Q is probably more the 'grandmother' seed since his seed never matured to fruition but his grafted clones probably did.
@cosmicxexo I think its a mix of both. Q ingests a sw seed. The BH pluck his eye to see if it grows. It does grow back. The BH pluck the tree eye over and over and implant it in other hosts. Q was found after the most recent harvest but the eye stolen was not his original.
i got a wha fic in development but it keeps going off the walls too angsty and my prose isn't reading well and damn getting back into writing isn't easy. i want it to exist so bad bc its kinda original and i dont want someone to write it first.
Which alludes to some kind of proximity effect. But if so, this fundamentally contradicts the seed's instinctual mission. It wants to sprout. It wants safe haven. If it has a sympathetic reaction to other hosts, evolutionarily, safety in like contexts- then why did it stop Qi? 3/
I ask bc if the seed is stopping the host from treeing out it is acting with more intelligence than basic instinct. If there's a unseen factor, like a host sprouting vs not sprouting, than we need to know if the seed was the force stopping Qi in 86 (which, it looked like it)5/
It's hard to know the parameters (is this specifically a Qi and Cu seed thing bc Ininia is also a host and gets seemingly close during the festival) but the thing that gets me is that during his second approach in chapter 86, Qifrey says he'll get pulled in if he gets closer. 2/
Something's bugging me about the #whaspoilers with the tree. Qifrey is prevented by the seed's protective instinct from getting close to Custas in general in chapter 75. It literally stops him. Custas also has the reaction. Later, he can't get closer to Custas as he trees out. 1/
@cocagott Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. The idea is that a host is a conduit of woodcruor and that the imagination of the seals is enough. They'd still have to know what to the signs and seals are to be effective but good magic only needs good imagination.
The wha guidebook is an absolute treat and made me smile so very much. I want to love a creation I made as much as shirahama does. I also need 4 more volumes of the guidebook.
my dad is a wonderful man going through a terrifying cancer journey. he is also converting to catholicism & spewing anti-islam rhetoric at the dinner table. I can't advocate for my students and coworkers without seeing the worst side of him. i am just... shaking angry rn.
Haven't read the guidebook yet cause I'm at stupid PD but from what I can tell we didn't get canonical ages.
This saddens me. Please Shirahama. I wanna know if quiche is at least close to my age.
I had like a frustrating exchange with a friend and I feel like I can't vent to anyone about it. I dont like a*I and my friends know that but I'm not like, reminding them I guess cause I dont like getting mad. But one of my friends was like oh look at this TikTok she showed-
And I felt like she wasn't happy w that at all. I definitely escalated something i could have grinned and bared but it literally makes me so fricken mad. I can't enjoy stuff like that even if I tried. I know she's probably super offended and thinks I was acting ridiculous-
