His dogโs name is Pepperโฆ
And right now Pepper is cheerfully following an entire family of skunks across the yard while dad is losing his mind in the background.
You can hear pure panic in his voice as he keeps yelling โcome hereโ and "NO PEPPER", but Pepper has already made her choice.
Some dogs just collect the most ironic stories.
In 1964, Anthony Hopkins composed a beautiful waltz called And the Waltz Goes On. It was never performed, and over time the sheet music was forgotten.
Nearly 50 years later, his wife found the music and sent it to conductor Andrรฉ Rieu, who arranged for it to be performed in Vienna in 2011.
Imagine spending decades believing something you created would never be heard... then sitting in the audience as it comes to life for the very first time.
It's a reminder that not every dream happens when we want it to. Sometimes life has its own timing.
What's a dream you've held onto, no matter how long it's taken?
@fowontmiss There is NO WAY that kid is running across the street to his house. ALL Kids are coming in the house w/ me until police get there. That is insane AF
I watched a video of a woman the other day. She was roughly my age, maybe slightly older. She was sitting on her front porch talking. She said something that really hit home for me, and I was wondering if anyone else feels this way.
She said that she had not left her house in 3 days, and only went out that day to pick up coffee at the store, because they had used the last bit that morning. She said that she went directly to the store, got what she needed, and just couldn't wait to get back home.
She didn't have anything pressing at home, she just wanted to be in the peace, safety and warmth of her home. When she said this, I have to say that it really got me. I feel exactly the same way sometimes. I go out to do errands or whatever, and honestly cannot wait to get back home. If I am going to the grocery store, the bank, and an appointment...all in one morning, and my guy asks me to stop somewhere else for something, I cringe. I really don't want to stop any more places than necessary, because I just want to be home as soon as possible.
I don't know if it is because or people, crazy drivers, the hassle of dealing with customer service, or just that feeling of being insecure outside of our home. I was NEVER like this before. I am not an introvert. I have spoken in front of an audience of over 10,000 people without having even the slightest bit of nervousness. I have been interviewed by Tucker and Laura Ingram, as well as countless others without hesitation. But lately, I just want to be in my home.
Anyone else?
Eight year old Zayin Berry was at a skate park in Somerton, Arizona, when he saw a group of older children throwing a tiny kitten between them like a football.
He knew they were bigger than him. Arguing wasn't going to stop them.
So Zayin went and got the one thing he valued most. His skateboard.
He walked over and offered it to the boys in exchange for the kitten. They took the skateboard, left with it, and dropped the frightened little cat behind.
The kitten was covered in dirt, struggling to breathe, and suffering from a severe eye infection. Zayin carried him straight to his mother, and together they rushed him to the Humane Society of Yuma. Veterinarians managed to save the kitten's life, but one eye could not be saved.
The family named him Peaches and gave him a permanent home.
When Zayin was told Peaches would lose an eye, he had only one concern.
"I don't care as long as he lives, because he's my best friend."
For giving up something he loved to save a life that couldn't save itself, the ASPCA named Zayin Berry its 2025 Kid of the Year. Peaches still sleeps beside him every night, a quiet reminder that one child's kindness changed everything.
Overheard a lady saying she won't let her kid watch Peppa Pig because it encourages bad behaviour like "jumping in puddles".
I watched Road Runner as a kid and haven't blown anyone up with dynamite yet.
