@kalaelizabeth I'm still in Act 1, but my only hope was that a few lore things be covered again/discussed more, and I'm getting that! I'm so happy with the game.
There are 2 reason why people think talking about fashion is frivolous:
1) It’s associated with women & they assume anything related to women’s interests is inherently silly
And/or
2) They don’t know you can talk about fashion as a cultural artifact independent of “flattering”
This happened to everyone I know who has #EDS
Even after I was diagnosed (and my diagnosis was confirmed by a second geneticist), I had to abandon entire health systems and clinics that falsely diagnosed me with conversion disorder to deny me care for EDS and comorbidities
While we’re talking about off the rack and ready to wear and tailoring, today’s a good day to remind everyone that you don’t actually want one standardized set of measurements and proportions for every size and brand in the apparel industry.
I’ve gotten a lot of new followers lately, so it’s a good day to urgently remind everyone that ALL clothing is handmade. It doesn’t matter if it’s a $2 t-shirt or $20,000 couture, someone had to make it. We don’t have automatic clothes-sewing machines.
METHODIST SCHISM - 83 of Iowa's 726 Methodist congregations are leaving the flock. At the heart of the divorce is how LGBTQ Methodists are to be recognized in their church. I have a story for you.
I first heard about it back in December in a kind of strange article... 1/7
It’s a good day to resurface this guide. If you actually are interested in a list of ethical brands - rather than just making excuses on the internet - someone already did all the legwork and research for you. And she deliberately made it inexpensive.

@allisondraste This reminds me if someone who lightly made fun if me for being a concert novice and internally I was like "sorry I didn't grow up able to afford this?"
Rep. Brad Sherman (R) said if people are so concerned about reproductive rights, then they shouldn't have sex.
"It's that simple. I will stand for everyone's right to practice abstinence," he said.
Is this app going to get fixed because I’ve been rationing out my allotted free tweets like we’re in wartimes? This is very Molly American Girl doll core.
And that would not count my pre-existing undergrad loans. And they told us to count on pslf. There have been changes, but the following fall there were tooooons of articles about how pslf was broken.
When I was intending to go to grad school, they told me 100k of debt would be no big deal for a librarian because people took out 30k in loans all the time just for a car and paid it off in 3 years. Uhhh...not anyone knew.
The day I registered for graduate school, I told the clinical director that the loan amount made me nervous. He said, and I quote, "Don't worry about it. After you graduate, it will be manageable."
Since he already had his doctorate, I believed him. 1/3
I think we should move away from language like, “If bras hurt, that means you’re wearing the wrong size.” Wearing the wrong size is a possibility and should be presented as such. But bras can hurt for other reasons too, like having too firm a wire or just not liking the sensation
The other thing about this SHEIN influencer trip that really is bothering me, the most perhaps, is that the talking points talk about automation, streamline, etc. but like the actual act of sewing is done by humans and can ONLY be done by humans
