On the train on my way to talk at the @TheEgyptCentre's friends of the Egypt centre talk this evening. With a group of my fellow conservators we will be discussing the work we have done on a variety of objects that are housed in the museum. I am excited to share my work publicly.

People have asked me before why I name my objects when I work on them ... Well it's simple really ... ADHD! ... Nah seriously thought I feel like naming these objects lets me feel their personalities and provide them with the best treatment. I want to connect to my objects.

Had a great day visiting @TheMERL! Their volunteer Andrew was so knowledgeable and lovely to talk to. If you're in reading I recommend a visit it's very interesting to see the history and to learn the story of the found of @UniofReading by the Quaker's family!

Have a presentation tomorrow for my MSc, it's only 10mins long and about an object I've worked on and researched for the past 3 months and yet still I'm nervous. I've ran through it 10 times with my mother over the last weekend not picking it apart and practicing. Wish me luck 🍀

@DrKenGriffin @TheEgyptCentre @PhilParkes4 A marvel to be certain, his face would have been fully gold gilded originally and the colours are stunning on the piece with Egyptian blue and copper green. I just wish I knew who it's original owner was before it entered MacGregor's collection.

Over in France visiting my terminally ill father and it is harder than I expected it to be. I didn't think it would be easy but I never knew it would be this hard. I don't know if I should be saying goodbye or if we have more time together.

An excellent day receiving training on using @Artec3DScanners with Alex Chung of @CentralScanLtd. This included scanning the statue base of Djedhor the Saviour from @TheEgyptCentre collection, as featured in today's blog by @KittyParker93!

@SerenKitch11 Oh man yea that mini railway is the bomb. You can still use the putt putt but you can't rent equipment anymore just have to bring your own minigolf stuff 🤣 laid to my brother tryna find out where to get putters and balls
