Multi millionaire Rishi Sunak - who paid a penalty of just £50 for breaking Covid laws, wants rough sleepers, people who have nothing, to be fined up to £2,500 or even imprisoned
It’s difficult to imagine a more nasty, obscene, Victorian & utterly useless piece of legislation

There is something obscene about a government that's willing to keep taking bungs from people it admits are racists.
Equally obscene is someone getting so filthy rich from NHS contracts they have a spare £10 million to bung to the government.
#Hester
Shameful, and very telling, that the Speaker let two white men (rightly) challenge the PM on his racist donors appalling comments, but not Diane Abbott herself.
So the Tories stuck by austerity to the bitter end with a final horrifying #Budget2024 to further starve UK of investment and impoverish our public services whilst ignoring and exacerbating climate emergency. Future generations will not forgive this Govt's 14 year failure to act
I don't want lower taxes.
I want hospital beds.
Trains that run on time.
Kids who aren't too hungry to learn.
Libraries in every town.
Rivers that don't run with slurry.
Local councils not forced into bankruptcy.
Politicians who don't venally line their own pockets.
Broken NHS.
Broken schools.
Broken roads.
Broken trains.
Broken courts.
Broken local councils.
Broken dentistry.
Broken libraries.
Broken rivers.
Broken Britain.
But sure, better public services through spending less money.
As if the British public is that dumb.
EXCL: Jeremy Hunt has given more than £100,000 of own money to his constituency Conservative party to bolster chances of reelection amid warnings he could lose seat - by @alethaadu https://t.co/DADPwqoM7v
ANOTHER TORY COVID CONTRACT ABOMINATION
6,000 of 9,000 beds bought for Nightingale hospitals were not fit for clinical use and now sold off in fire sale auctions. £13 million lost...Just like that....
Some "Oska" beds cost £2,000+ and sold for as little as £6 each

I’m no economist but I do know that obscenely rich people do not create wealth for others & hedge fund managers should not be Prime ministers. How have we been persuaded that such ruthless , greedy people share the same interests & concerns as ordinary people ?
BREAKING
Rishi Sunak's tax return has just been published.
In tax year 2022/23 he made c£2.3m.
He paid £520,000 in tax.
All legal.
An effective tax rate of c 23% as a lot of it was capital gain (eg profit on share sales) not income.
We don't know which company shares he earned these millions from, or where he holds his shares, as he holds his wealth in a "blind trust"....which is blind to the rest of us.
Employees generally pay much higher rates of tax + national insurance.
I think Rishi Sunak is going to regret that £1000 bet over Rwanda deportation flights.
Does he really think it's a good look to profit from people's misery?
He also already has a problem with looking out of touch during cost of living crisis. 😬
Experts lament appalling decline in health of under-5s in UK.
UK ranks 30th out of 49 OECD countries for infant mortality - obesity, tooth decay, mental health problems; shorter lief expectancy.
Result of political choices - austerity, wage/benefit cuts.
