Conversation with my 2-year-old.
Me: I know you played with my Gardyn today. Let's talk about it.
2: It was baby.
Me: No, it was you.
2: It was mama.
Me: I am mama, and I know it was you.
2: ...it was papa?
Ever bake some bread that's so good, it makes you romanticize your own life?
Ya know, just winding down, sipping some cozy tea, nibbling some decadent warm bread. The family all gathers 'round because you just can't resist another bite.
@ryanszrama I like the Foundation books, too! And Brandon Sanderson is always a solid pick. Should I add Altered Carbon to my reading list? I've been on the fence.
I laugh in the face of writer's block!
But writing every day with kids in the room? That's not a laughing matter.
Shout out to all the working parents. We're going to survive.
Law of parenting:
Toddlers don't have the attention span to stick with anything for more than a few minutes.
Unless it's annoying. Then they'll do it for hours.
I'm not gentle parenting or attachment parenting or helicopter parenting or whatever label is popular on social media. You know what we're doing? We're making this up as we go and hoping our kid doesn't need therapy at 22.
When you're pregnant with your first baby, everyone tells you that your parents instincts will just kick in.
Friends, that is a lie. You do not magically have parenting instincts.
But you do have Google, so you'll still be fine.
