William shed blood, sweat and tears to become LYKN’s William but somehow you can’t even do the bare minimum of supporting him as LYKN’s William, not just William on his own or William as part of WilliamEst.

He once said that Project Alpha made him realize that the area he had always felt the most confident in was actually where he faced the most challenges. He cried because he was exhausted and overwhelmed but he still pushed through it and earned his place in LYKN.

And after everything he went through, he also talked about how much being part of LYKN actually means to him. When he first entered Project Alpha, his dream was to become a solo artist but once he experienced working alone, he realized he didn’t like it at all because it felt empty, working with the other four changed that. He said that ever since the show, he had felt that if he could be in a group with Nut, Hong, Tui and Lego there wouldn’t be a better group for him because they were the people he wanted to work with.

He even talked about the days when he struggles with dancing and how the other members will notice, sometimes from all the way across the room and come over to help him. He thanked them for always helping and supporting each other. This is someone who openly expressed how grateful he is that these four people became his members and how much he values having them beside him.

You don’t have to stan LYKN or support everything the group does but reducing this part of William’s life to something that gets in the way of his acting career or WilliamEst completely disregards his own words and everything he went through to get here. LYKN isn’t some side project that was simply handed to him, he fought for his place in that group, chose those four people and has repeatedly shown how much being LYKN’s William means to him.

You can love William as an individual and love WilliamEst while still respecting and supporting LYKN’s William. It really shouldn’t be that difficult
