Meet @smbraidwood our Deputy Head of Podiatry for @NHSLanarkshire! We had a Q&A session here's the results!
Why podiatry?
Wished to teach PE but had a knee injury. Ended up at the #Podiatry dept for rehab & the input made me reconsider. Changed to @GCUPodiatry, I don't regret it!
Meet Heather Lees one of @NHSLanarkshire#podiatrist. We asked her a few Q's & here's what she had to say:
I have #family members working in #healthcare & knew this was the line of work I wanted to be part of. #Podiatry has so many different aspects I felt this was the 1 for me!
Wonderful feedback from the @MSKLanPhysio Community Appointment Day
"Every single person I spoke to was amazing and extremely helpful. The physiotherapy team are an absolute credit to NHS Lanarkshire, the podiatry team were amazing and the weight management team were fantastic."
This is Aya, a 4th yr @GCUPodiatry student who was with the North West Unit for a 6 week placement!
"Had a really great 6-week placement! Huge thanks to all the team for being so welcoming and supportive. Learned a lot and loved being part of it!"

🦶🧵What do you like about working for NHSL?
After completing my 6wk placement in 4th year within the North West Unit team I managed to get a job in as well. I was accepted from the moment I was a student & made to feel part of the team from day one and this has never changed.
