“Nothing is so good for an ignorant man as silence; and if he were sensible of this he would not be ignorant.” So said Saadi, a Persian poet of the 13th century.
"Before you speak, ask yourself: is it kind, is it necessary, is it true, does it improve on the silence?” These words are attributed to Sai Baba, the celebrated saint who lived in Shirdi in India at the turn of the twentieth century.
"There are few things more worrying than sitting up for somebody, especially if that somebody be at a party. You can not help thinking how quickly the time passes with them, which drags so heavily with you; and the more you think of this, the more your hopes of their speedy arrival decline."

63years ago, Kenya chose herself. Today we mark that choice with gratitude, reflection, and a renewed commitment to the promise that independence was always meant to keep, a dignified life for every Kenyan. Happy Madaraka Day.

"The greatest resource any country holds is not its mineral deposits, its forests, its landscapes, or even its access to easy funding: it is its human capital." Mind not matter.
"Business) is, in itself, a noble cause. It helps make the good things of life available and affordable to ever more people. We should make more of it. We should…measure success in terms of outcomes for others as well as for ourselves.”
'We are entirely capable of making ourselves miserable, regardless of income. The problem lies squarely inside our own heads. Until we recognise this, happiness will remain a mirage – a shimmering, illusory oasis in the desert of our struggle."
"The real tragedy of our postcolonial world is not that the majority of people had no say in whether or not they wanted this new world; rather, it is that the majority have not been given the tools to negotiate this new world."
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

We extend our deepest respect and warmest wishes to our Muslim brethren. May the spirit of sacrifice, generosity, and devotion that defines this day inspire greater purpose, deeper connections, and continued commitment to the communities we serve.

"Nobody is saying that burning government property is a good thing, but to send the army in to kill in the name of order? There are Tiv people lying dead for nothing. For nothing! Balewa has lost his mind!"
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie; Half of a Yellow Sun.
This African madness about foreign football teams (especially from colonial brutes) while not being mad against police brutality, abuse of power, exploitation and grinding poverty, is one of the main reasons why liberating Africa has been difficult. To be liberated, Africans must liberate their MINDS and the illusions, fantasies and myths from and about the UK, Europe and America—and everything these imperialist regimes represent.
Don’t bore me about “it’s sports” or “religion.” I call it MENTAL COLONIZATION!
Now, go ahead and have a breakdown on @X!
No doubt; we shall miss you, brother, even as your immense contribution towards the world of football lives with us. I shall endeavour to remember that one day; you warned that if Kenya is serious of winning major trophies in the world of soccer, she should start a calculated investment on the kids in primary school and nurture them.
I met Diblo Kaberia in late 2008/early 2009. It took a 2 minute audition to see that he would be one of the greatest football commentators in Kenya and beyond. RIP Diblo. You will be missed 🙏🏼
He saved old sugar cartons, bottle corks, and even potato peels. It came with never having had much, the inability to let go of things, even things that were useless.
