Im not here with any solutions or promises. Just the observation.

Is this something you've noticed? If so, what do you think is the main reason for that?

[Zoran Stojković @KizoPerformance]

Having travelled to a few countries in North America & Europe this year, I've noticed that people are tired.

It seems to me that there's a feeling of fatigue. Burnout. Languishing. Call it whatever you want. It shows on people's faces.

[Zoran Stojković @KizoPerformance]

- Decision fatigue & cognitive load from multiple information overload (e. g. AI, podcasts, books, influencers, social media, social norms)
- Rising costs of living

Anti-Goals: Using inversion technique to imagine outcomes you want to avoid.

Flip goal setting on it's head, and get after it.

Questions
1. What does success look like?
2. What would failure look like?

Thanks @awilkinson for convincing me to the power of anti-goals.

In #militaryaviation, everything should serve the person in the cockpit—and those who support them: leadership, techs, ops.

If an initiative doesn’t solve their real problems, it’s noise. Cut it. Time is limited. Focus is critical. Every minute matters.

Want to stay sharp?

✅ Simplify your environment
✅ Turn routines into #habits
✅ Use checklists, calendars, visuals
✅ Train under pressure

Clear mind = fast decisions.

Feeling mentally overloaded?
That’s #cognitiveload — and it’s one of the biggest silent killers of #performance.

In high-stakes roles, knowing how to manage it might be the most important skill you never learned.
🧠 Let’s break it down ↓

There are 3 types:

1. Intrinsic – The task itself

2. Extraneous – Distractions or confusion in how it’s presented

3. Germane – The energy used to grow, adapt, or refine

The CIA uses RICE to decode human behavior:
Reward 💰
Ideology 🧠
Coercion ⚠️
Ego 🪞

It’s how spies flip patriots into traitors — and how leaders can understand what truly drives action.

Smart performance isn’t about doing more — it’s about processing better.

#Cognitiveload, the total amount of mental effort being used to do a task, isn’t just a classroom concept — it shows up in boardrooms, locker rooms, and high-stakes environments daily.

#Leaders and #performers who optimize their cognitive load make faster decisions, stay composed under pressure, and adapt more effectively.

By simplifying workflows, #buildinghabits, and reducing mental clutter, you create space for clarity, strategy, and execution.

At first, we know so little we feel like we know it all. The Dunning-Kruger effect reminds us: real learning often starts with humility.

Want to level up your performance? Start by getting honest about what you don’t know.

Spoke today with Island Heart to Heart — a program for people recovering from cardiac events.
Helping #highperformers is one thing. Supporting people after a heart attack? That’s purpose on a whole other level.

🧠 Choose How You Show Up
Every moment offers a choice:
React automatically, or respond intentionally.
That space is where your power lives.
