@GiganteGentileG@mirrenelle "Completely painless" if ofc an oversimplification, giving birth has always been painful. However, your question has a point because current sources for this are extremely sparse, imperialism has destroyed a lot.
@mirrenelle Additionally I feel it is necessary to mention the cultures within which childbirth is near painless (indigenous american) / families dedicate immense time and ressources to support the new mother physically and emotionally (east asia).
@mirrenelle In which case the issue is more lack of research in women's bodies / the general failure of our institutions rather than childbirth being body horror
@frankfontaine69@bmloveofficial@clippedhubb If if these stats were true, how is your conclusion NOT "oh hey maybe if they had rights and respect from society they wouldn't be killing themselves" what is wrong with you?
@noloveinlust@autumnstigmata I could reccomend you books to read and content creators to watch on this subject but I trust you'll figure it out if you want to learn more
@noloveinlust@autumnstigmata 3. Which goes back to the first point, visibly rebelling against gender, racism or classism puts you in danger so it's okay to not be queer, allyship is fine.
4. Rebellion is essential to queerness, so when lgbtq+ people just use it as an umbrella term they're missing nuance
@noloveinlust@autumnstigmata A few things with your response
1. No one is asking you to be a revolutionary
2. If you are in fact doing anything actionable against the patriarchy, racism, class or gender roles you will in fact be ostracised or have uncomfortable encounters with the law
@wagneralan22@sengrahamresign I fear the tweet is saying women of any sexuality have married for comfort, power, wealth and stability. And that it's a bit silly to assume the guy that happens to have put a ring on a woman is proof of bisexuality. Further context is needed.
@noloveinlust@autumnstigmata You're missing a key part of queerness, which is rebellion. Rebellion against gender roles, against patriarchy, against racism and classism. All of these things are more important than ever I would say, but that is precisely why its "queer". The state isn't fond of all that.
@Ju4n4th4n73@Holiistically Jonathan have you ever sat down and wondered why black people seem to disproportionately resort to theft to obtain bare necessities? No? Oh yeah you're an idiot I should have guessed.
@namesaredumb67@CherryCarnMars@moowsiie Your ability to misread this simple comic calls into question your capacity to understand which tropes of yaoi/yuri this conversation even revolves around and how they could be negative
@soapysamurai@Reddemic@ikisnick The question now becomes what was he embarassed about? He wasn't embrassed to have this guy over, or hug him or sit obviously close with his parents around. So what gives? I think he was simply surprised that his mother sees him as he is and pretense doesn't work.
@LFilerman@katharineslim You're weird as hell. If you don't understand most men in fact do not care about communication with a woman during sex idk what to tell you.
Talk to your mates, experience this IRL instead of denying women's experiences.
