Texas Tech has a choice. No one is forcing the Red Raiders to play Brendan Sorsby. They are not backed into a corner. They can take his recovery seriously and support him by keeping him around/engaged with the program but NOT play him in games.

It shouldn't be a tough call.

Many Wings fans wonder "how did it get so bad?" speaking of the Yzerman/Larkin relationship. I have no inside scoop but I do know this:

Steve Yzerman has never been a partier. Even when we won, sure he enjoyed himself but he was always in control. And he had no problem calling guys out that weren't... myself included.

After USA won gold and we watched Dylan enjoy himself (some say) a little too much, I remember thinking "ohh boy, Stevie isn't gonna like this at all"...

Again, I have NO inside info but I also have no doubt that Yzerman took his captain to task over it; after the Olympics and probably again after another disappointing late season...

Probably, possibly, the final straw in an already strained relationship.
