After not posting for a long time (not that I posted much anyway) I have an extremely exciting announcement!
Last Thursday my wife and I got to welcome our 2 little humans to the world!! They made their appearance a little early, 10 weeks early in fact, but they are both happy, healthy, and growing!
After years of trying we finally managed to achieve what we were starting to think wasn’t meant to be on our third round of IVF. My wife endured so much last year between the IVF process and 2 brain surgeries to correct improperly draining spinal fluid which almost resulted in blindness. Luckily she listened to her body and got things checked out before they progressed.
The pregnancy was overall pretty easy on her with fatigue being the biggest thing she had to contend with. We did have a few scares including a risk of delivery that required intervention at 21 weeks and water breaking at 28 weeks. Luckily they were able to stay put for an additional 2 weeks, but that meant my wife had to stay in the hospital that entire time with round the clock monitoring (and catching a corona variant requiring isolation).
We still have a long road ahead in the NICU, but they are continuing to hit their milestones and requiring fewer monitors and treatment everyday! The nurses and doctors have been so supportive and helpful as we navigate this new chapter and we couldn’t be more thankful for that.
Cybertruck got all dressed up and stole the whole parade! 📐 🎄
Lights flashing, kids loosing their minds, and a few grannies saluting 🤣
Sorry Rudolph, you’ve been replaced by 8,000 lbs of stainless 🚀🦌
@greggertruck@Tempegov@AZFirefighters It could be some anti-EV/ Tesla design, but is more likely just a bad go at putting visuals to this years fire safety week message. This years theme was Lithium Ion Battery Safety and EVs make an easy visual. I tried to focus our presentations on phones and stuff like that.
Had a similar experience Tuesday with our Y on 14.1.3. Approached the sign holder and the car slowed down as expected, but when we were about 30 ft from the person, they flipped it from ‘slow’ to ‘stop’. The car immediately slammed on the brakes. Dude was super confused as he waved us through. Disengaged after the stop and manually proceeded so didn’t see what it would have done with the hand signals
@esherifftv Try and keep the guest list as small as possible. There are probably tons of people you would like to see that day, but the more people you have the less time you get to spend with each one.
Also if you do DIY decor, keep it simple to reduce stress!
@TheEVuniverse I did a self install in 2022 so the numbers may be a bit outdated.
- WI, USA
- Tesla wall connector for a Model 3 LR
- New 50A breaker, wire and mounting hardware for ~45 ft run.
- $741 all in (was eligible for up to $750 rebate from my power company)
-$0 cost after rebate.
@OutofSpecDetail Because it sounds reasonable enough when you haven’t seen it in person. I did it thinking I didn’t want the rest of the glass to be extra dark so I had a chance of seeing stars while car camping. Ended up just keeping a sun shade installed to cover the line.
