As strange as it is grieving the loss of a friend who was a public person, it has been endlessly comforting reading what Naya has meant to so many of you, even if you did not know her personally. It's helped me during this awful time to see how far her light reached.

I’m still in disbelief we’ve lost so many incredible angels from @OfficialGLEEtv like @CoryMonteith, @MarkSalling, and @NayaRivera. All of them had so much more to give to this world, but I’m grateful they shared a glimmer of their lives on #Glee to inspire underdogs like us.

Naya was a fierce talent with so much more to do and this is such a terrible tragedy. We are forever grateful for the indelible contribution she made to GLEE, from the first episode to the last. Our hearts are broken and our thoughts go out to her family, friends and young son.
