And, more specifically with this fable, to show to their haters-critics (the bald man) that in their attempt to harm the group (the fly), they are preferring get hurt themselves. Am I right?
In "Mic Drop", one of the best BTS's songs, RM namedrops a fable of Aesop, "The bald man and the fly" (shortened in the "fly") (Perry 525). Considering the general moral lesson of the fables, the right will always prevail, it serves to reassure what they, as a group, are doing.
Suddenly, a reflection about Time in Greece: Chronos and Kairos and how it is not only related to our/their lives but it is still a very actual concept, by #Namjoon#BTS 😍
Such lovely reference to show the bond mother-son that the catasterism of #Venus and #Cupid (#Pisces) ✨. Kwon Sun Yool (#ChaEunWoo) explains this star to Eun Soo Hyun (#KimNamJoo) (#WonderfulWorld S1E6). However, it's a river, not fire where they hide (Hyginus, Astronomy 30)
Who is the sister of Cerberus? Yes, the pictures are spoilers but... what is the real relationship between Lee Yoong Jeob (#LeeHeeJoon) and Kim Hyo-kyeong (#ChaJooYoung)? and why is she devoted to vengeance? In #Chimera S1E16 it's the key!
Really, the mythological characters in #Chimera are so well chosen! Cerberus, the three-headed dog, the guardian of Hades, as Lee Yoong Jeob (#LeeHeeJoon). And why? The comparison is based in the idea of knowing but keeping secret (S1E14). And why Cerberus? Who is his sister...?
Neither envy the rich happiness of the powerful nor feel so secure in a principal seat. Instead put yourself in their shoes or feel the fear around the power position. Follow #Damocles' example and the sword! (Cicero, Tusculans 5.61-62) (#Chimera S1E11)
Taking into account that the book has been used in the previous scene as a weapon, it seems very appropriate the statement of Lee Yoong Jeob (#LeeHeeJoon) about Classical myths. I wouldn't say they could save us, but we still can learn from them! (#Chimera S1E6)
How many times have I listened to #Shinee's #Hard? For weeks in a loop! But today I realized that they say "Ad astra"!! Yes, face challenge to infinity and beyond! And, of course, go hard, hard like a criminal, hard like the beat, hard like my flow!! (https://t.co/bMLElnM0st)
ὁ γὰρ προφανὴς θνατοῖσιν ἔχθιστος φόνων! "the death that is seen coming is the most hateful to mortals" And that's the best synopsis for a serie!! In the first second, in the first minute and in the first chapter!! (#DeathsGame S1E1). By the way, Bacchylides, Ode 3.51-52.
Once more, in #Chimera (S1E3), a new lesson of Latin translation and the idea behind it: "Dies irae". Cha Jae Hwan (#ParkHaeSoo) asks the meaning of this sentence to Eugene Haddaway (#ClaudiaKim/#KimSoHyun). The importance of Classical languages even to investigate a murder!!
Best explanation ever of a literary topic!! Memento mori isn't simply "remember that you must die". Go Gwang Soo (#HeoJunSeok) expounds on the meaning of this sentence to Bae Seung Gwan (#WooHyun), who has been threatening with it by Chimera (the "bad-guy") (#Chimera, S1E12)
Ga Young (#JoHyeJoo) tells to Gu Won (#SongKang) (#MyDemon S1E15) the fable of the scorpion and the frog to show the impossibility to change the nature of a person. Though attributed to Aesop, probably the Aesopic one is the frog and the mouse. Different animals, similar moral!
In #MyDemon (S1E1), it's said the meaning of the Greek word "daimon": to share the same fate. Well, "daiomai" means "to divide, distribute" and "daimon" can mean "destiny". So, if both are mixed, could it be this sharing meaning? Not so sure. The meaning seems far-fetched.
Second statement about Cupid/Eros in #MyManisCupid (S1 E1): his genealogy and his presence in art. About his genealogy who is his father remains anonymous... Well, place your bets, ladies and gentleman! My bet is Ares (in this case)
While Cheon Sang Hyuk, aka Cupid (#JangDongYoon) is given an invitation to a special exhibition about Cupid after the mentioned principle was said while #CupidandPsyche, a portrait of #FrançoisÉdouardPicot (1817) is shown. 2/2
Let's start the New Year with love 💜! Yet the title is a spoiler, so not surprise at all: #MyManIsCupid. However, many mythological references are given inside the drama. We'll see. First: No one is allowed to see the metamorphosis of a god unless facing the consequences 1/2
Artemis and Orion, the truth untold. A version told by Hyginus (Astr. 2.4) said that Artemis loves Orion so much that she wants to marry him. The envy of her brother cuts their love short but she catasterizes him. #Taeyeon uses itl in #INVU (Thanks, @Paulakastfer, for telling me)
