🐱every movie requires a great deal of preparation, whether the characters are similar to me or not. I need to let the character into my inner world or find my way into theirs,these are two different approaches, but they achieve much the same effect. I need to explore the character’s backstory, the environment they live in, and how their personality evolves. I really enjoy this preparation, whether it means discussing the character with the director or looking for similar people, including people around me, the more preparation I do beforehand, the more I’m able to let go of all the burdens when it starts shooting. I can truly become that character.
