@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite Anyways, let’s leave things at that, you’re free to give any closing thoughts but that’s enough from me as it’s getting late over here ^^;
Thankyou for debating with me, you were very respectful and while we may disagree, I respect your perspective
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite Agree to disagree, i feel she’s distinct enough to stand on her own two feet when compared to the likes of Kiriko, Juno and Anran, she has her own distinct identity, i dig the all white look and the geisha/kabuki aesthetic
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite Yeah i get your angle, and i don’t disagree with you in that regard
I feel personally the reason im fine with Shion getting a pass is because she’s not human, she’s an omnic and the pretty face fits nicely into her “oni wearing a human mask” approach
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite All this tells me is that you simply prefer how male characters are designed over the female ones, nothing wrong with that Ofcourse , but this graph doesn’t really change my stance as I enjoy the female cast as much as the male cast
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite Whether a characher is “more attractive” or “more unique looking” is entirely subjective, i have a good reason to enjoy all of these character’s designs for one reason or another and frankly have no reason to dislike any over the other
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite Playing hardball are we? they do when we count the other females like Soujorn, Moira, Symmetra, Junker Queen and Ana
and come now…you really gonna tell me Mei and Widowmaker or Tracer and Freja look the same…?
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite None of them…? I know it’s a meme that Overwatch females have “same face syndrome” but if you were to bold face tell me Widow, Tracer and Kiriko have the same one-to-one face, i have to assume you’re trolling…and she’s an omnic, that’s distinction enough
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite It does, actually
What other omnic has a human face? (Echo isn’t an omnic before you mention her) her silhouette is distinct enough and she fits her hero fantasy, it’s also HIGHLY unlikely she’ll be the last female omnic we get so we aren’t losing much here
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite Well I asked you earlier what besides her face was wrong with her design and you still haven’t answered, and your suggestions haven’t exactly convinced me since for what i can tell, her design works excellent for who she is
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite Your logic doesn’t really add up to me…the character is made FOR the story being told here, that design needs to fit with the narrative the writers wish to tell, why would a boss who usually does negotiations and business wear an obvious mask?
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite This just sounds like a wishlist more than it does a necessity to improve a design, her face IS her mask, she doesn’t need to wear anything else, especially for her line of work
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite No…? it’s just how it is, and sure, but she wouldn’t really need that, plenty of Yakuza don’t wear masks, even within the hashimoto
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite Because a boss is usually meant to stand ABOVE their subordinates, not alongside them, she usually conducts business, so she wants to look good for her benefactors, and when that doesn’t work? that’s when the demon comes out
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite Well there’s Fika but that hardly counts, and Venture (who while non-binary) still fits a generally “unconventional” attractive design, either way, a lot of women are attractive, go figure,this character simply wasn’t part of that group, nothing wrong with it
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite That would be too obvious, her whole point is a “wolf is sheep’s clothing”, she’s an oni wearing a human face, wearing half a mask would ruin that façade
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite Do you know any other female’s who have horns on their heads, wears a white suits AND wield two guns? I’d say she stands out just fine, don’t know any character with all THAT in one package
@YAZ_yeen@MxSocialite Orisa? Echo? Sojourn? Ana? junker Queen? Moira? all lovely characters that don’t fill the “conventionally attractive” mold, i get your point but to say they’re ALL just generic beauty’s? is a bit insincerely
