@HarshDeora You absolutely do not want to skeletonized the MCA from the bifurcation because of the lenticulostriate perforator. You want to skeletonize only within lateral aspect of the sylvian fissure where the vessel lies on top of the insula

@HarshDeora These are one of the more challenging tumors to remove. I believe the only way to get a complete resection is with intraop MRI, but that's not available in most places. You can see you left tumor in the temporal stem and there is a perforator infarct of the head of caudate.

This is not a case control study. It's a retrospective cohort. "Case Control" is often used incorrectly within neurosurgical literature.

Let recover and see what happens with time. Wouldn't throw the kitchen sink at it right away. This kid is going to be with you for years so pace yourself and the treatments.

Avastin is being thrown at virtually everything these days. I personally would not do either. Radiation itself is not the issue in a 2 yo, but the volume needed in this particular case.

1/2 When I started @LeBonheurChild & @StJude almost 15 yrs ago (😳), one of the first things I did was set up a number of prospective databases. In what will hopefully be a trilogy of papers, we first looked at predictors of extended LOS (>7days) after elective craniotomy.
