The COVID-19 pandemic at its peak was undeniably devastating, but I think that every cloud has a silver lining. It definitely contributed to the development and expansion of telehealth and the lockdowns were largely responsible for this. #HSBH2009

With the rising prevalence of online health and medical information, I am concerned about people who engage in 'self-diagnosis'. While the internet is informative, there are also many unreliable sources out there. Check your sources everyone! #HSBH2009

@StephanieLee80 I totally agree with you! I accessed it to see my COVID-19 vaccination dates and I was pleasantly surprised to see my entire immunisation history from birth to now. Such a handy website. #HSBH2009

It was interesting to reflect on the different methods of electronic health data this week! I find My Health Record to be such a good method of accessing one's own health information, however, the low uptake from both the providers and patients limits its effectiveness! #HSBH2009

@StephanieLee80 Definitely. I think that telehealth puts a lot of responsibility on the patient to explain what is going on and not every one is good with that, for example those who can’t speak english very well

I had an online consultation with my GP through video call today and we were discussing healthy eating habits. I do wonder how difficult it would be though, to get treatment, if I twisted my ankle and couldn't leave my house?

I think that social media is such a powerful medium for an interconnected society. However, Week 7's lecture has really shed light on how it can undermine our psychological well-being, especially with the rising prevalence of cyberbullying.
