@angharadyeo Hey Rad, I'm the guy who just said good luck on the hot wings and sorry I couldn't come to the panel cause I'm exhausted to you and Paul in the foyer/hall. Thought I'd put a face to the name, you helped me a while back with my standing desk ๐
@drvolts@zwirnm They are 'close' in the scale of the whole of Australia, but Australia is big, the distance from Melbourne to Brisbane is 1375km (854 miles), which is about the distance from LA to Portland Oregon.
Don't get me wrong, I love rail, but it's not as easy as it sounds.
@angharadyeo Thanks for being so generous with your time to a stranger from the internet!
Interested to hear your thoughts on both, but was thinking of the above the monitor one first.
@angharadyeo Hey Rad I remember you tweeting a while ago about doing a bunch of research on standing desks, I'm interested in getting one, any recommendations/things to share?
@angharadyeo Yeah wow, not cheap, for that price you'd want it to be rock solid. I'll keep looking.
What about a monitor light bar?
As you can tell I'm slowly upgrading my whole set-up.
@angharadyeo Hey Rad, me again. Any recommendations for dual monitor arms? Currently just using the default stands but want to upgrade as part of my overall refresh with my new desk (arriving on Monday!)
@angharadyeo I do appreciate it. I'm definitely someone who likes to do my research and make sure it's the right one for me.
I'll probably be back in a few days with more niche questions!
@angharadyeo Hey again, very specific question: when left alone, are there any lights on the desk that you can't turn off? Like the controls or status LEDs? The desk will be in my bedroom and I can't stand little lights
@angharadyeo Totally. The reason I liked the IKEA desks as a starting point was I could go try them out in person. The others are mostly online only, but I think some have showrooms etc I'll have to look into.
