As a journalist, I completed my professional career over six decades in 1956. I believe more in studying than in writing.and leaving the subject to the reader
@ImFashionista69@NeelimaAthalye Yes, very true. We witnessed it in Delhi too where JP led crowd tried to burn RSS magazine office of Organiser at Daryaganj and kill its staff but for its mentor V.P.Joshi's
successful attempt to threaten them by throwing acid from his photograpic department.
A life in the RSS 🇮🇳.
I just finished reading “Ink, Saffron & Freedom”, a wonderful autobiography by my friend Kedar Nath Gupta. KN as we call him is 93. I encouraged him to write about his remarkable life - and I am so glad he did. It’s a history of a century covered in a life.
Born to a sweets trader in old Delhi, KN as a teenager experienced the violence of the Partition. Dedicated to the motherland RSS became his political home and the pen his weapon. Imprisonment only strengthened his dedication to the hindu cultural movement.
The book is a love story to Delhi, the city of this life, to his father and his family and to the RSS.
It’s time Westeners make an effort to understand, not to demonize, the RSS. “Ink, Saffron & Freedom” is good place to start.
