To finish on a positive note, we are am not planning to abandon the idea behind Knei completely. The challenge of building relations won’t disappear, so there might be a period for Knei to return in another form. Stay in touch!

To overcome this “stage of low return”, we would have to substantially improve the product. So the Knei app would work faster, look nicer, and be present on multiple platforms. That is either a matter of a very long bootstrapping or using resources beyond what we have.
The Knei update 1.8 is finally here. We built a Chrome web extension. It notices some basic Instagram and LinkedIn actions (page opens, chat opens) and saves usernames that you can later add in the Knei app as contacts.

Reciprocity mechanism makes people respond to the positive or negative actions, often by returning favors or retaliating against harm. Reciprocity is a default building principle of the long-term relationships that humans understand naturally.
Every group has name, description, and touch period in days (how often you contact the people there, in general).
